Los Angeles, CA, April 16, 2010 — MERIT Property Management, a leading provider of professional community association and rental management services, promoted Sharon Topping, CCAM, to Business Unit Leader of Greater Los Angeles. Topping now oversees portfolio and master planned communities in the Los Angeles region extending over the entire county, including Long Beach, the west side and north through the San Fernando Valley up to Valencia. She is responsible for MERIT’s current association community management clients and will now coordinate and manage new contracts, maintain client relations and spearhead MERIT’s continued growth throughout Los Angeles' master planned and portfolio communities.
Topping joined MERIT over three years ago and was previously the community executive officer for Playa Vista Parks and Landscaping Corporation. While in that role, Topping had complete oversight of the homeowners association and community service organization including all regular maintenance and operations as well as events, programs and environmental obligations.
Topping serves on the California Association of Community Managers Board of Directors and Legal Advisory Steering Committee and received her designation as a Certified California Association Manager (CCAM®). Topping graduated from California State University Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in business administration.
