Tipton Award for her marketing achievements throughout the real estate and building industries. This coveted award recognizes marketing professionals who are considered to be experts in their field, who have contributed their time and effort through teaching and service to their peers and who are considered to be outstanding leaders and examples in the real estate and building industry.
Masson was presented with the honor at the SoCalAwards ‘Toasting the Best in Sales, Marketing and Design throughout Southern California.’ The ceremony was held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Grove of Anaheim. The SoCal Awards are a union of homebuilding industry award competitions sponsored by three separate Sales and Marketing Councils of the Building Industry Association.
Since 1980, Masson’s vision and innovation has led Merit to more than three decades of continuous growth. Masson has been a prominent influence in defining the association management industry and establishing professional and ethical standards through founding the California Association of Community Managers (CACM).
Masson is a trendsetter and leader in the industry having partnered with key developers to redefine the model of community associations to foster a true sense of community. Masson is a graduate summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota and earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in distributive education and marketing. A Laguna Beach resident, she is active in a variety of community causes including United Way, Mission Hospital Board of Directors, Chapman University Board of Governance, Laguna Beach Playhouse and serves on the Masson Foundation Board.
