During a holiday food drive, residents at East Bay's Élan at Dublin Station led by Merit's General Manager, Shane Frye, gathered over 750 pounds of food and donated it to the Alameda County Community Food Bank.  The donated food equated to over 570 meals that were served to deserving families, children and adults throughout the local area.

Through a network of 275 member agencies comprised of soup kitchens, food pantries and child-care centers, the Alameda County Community Food Bank provides food assistance to over 49,000 people each week, 43% of whom are children.  The Alameda County Community Food Bank serves people from Berkeley to Fremont and Oakland to Livermore.

Merit has managed Élan at Dublin Station for almost five years and plans to host a food drive each year.  For more information on the program, please contact Shane Frye at sfrye@meritpm.com.
